The Role
Salary: £34,000 - £40,000 dependent on relevant experience.
Location and travel: the post holder will be required to lead face-to-face delivery in central Manchester on a regular basis. Some overnight travel to London will be required, for which travel and accommodation will be covered.

The role: As an Associate Lecturer, you'll be instrumental in nurturing the next generation of digital professionals. Whether you're leading a classroom, facilitating small group discussions, or offering one-on-one guidance, your contribution will pave the way for our apprentices' success in fields like Data Analysis, Software Engineering, Cyber Security, and Tech Consultancy.
Main Responsibilities:
- Work with lecturers to deliver engaging course material to apprentices and ensure their educational progress
- Work with small groups and 1:1 with apprentices to support their learning and growth
- Work with lecturers to update and create new learning content for existing lectures and workshops, applying it to real world scenarios and drawing on industry expertise
- Administer and mark assignments and exams for a range of modules
- Provide written feedback to apprentices on their progress and provide additional support where necessary
- Work collaboratively with the wider team to create an inclusive environment that ensures that individualised support programmes are in place where needed
Other Responsibilities:
- Support learners with Special Educational Needs or those who may need reasonable adjustments to accommodate their sensory needs.
- Get involved in the design and delivery of other Ada projects in Manchester as required
- Represent Ada as needed with employers and young people as part of our business development and outreach activities
- Engage with the wider Ada team to share best practice and contribute to a culture of collaboration and support.
We're Looking For:
- A foundation of technical knowledge in areas like programming, databases, cyber security, or data analysis.
- Experience in nurturing talent, whether through formal education or team development in the workplace.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to connect with a diverse range of individuals.
- A commitment to our mission, driven by a passion for digital innovation and education.
Successful candidates will also likely have one or more of:
- A background in a technical role within the digital industry, or experience in areas such as project management, business analysis, user experience or product delivery
- Familiarity with a common programming language e.g. Python, JavaScript
- Experience with academic assessment and feedback
