Kathy has over 10 years’ experience as a strategist, operator and advisor in the education sector. After starting her career at The Open University, she became a member of the founding team of FutureLearn Ltd in 2012, where she headed up strategy development, market insights, data analysis and communications. In 2019, she managed the process which secured £50m external funding (Europe’s largest private edtech investment) for the company at a £100m valuation. Kathy is now advising on several education projects, working at a strategic / executive level to help organisations understand digital learning and transformation, and to shape, assess and execute effective strategies in response. Her focus is online education, digital transformation and commercial strategy (particularly start-ups / scale-ups). Kathy is also a founding member of the global network Business Women in Education.
