International Women's Day
Taking Ada to our local High School - a great way to celebrate International Women's Day
This week we visited over 270 Yr 10 students in inner London schools and talked to them about Ada Lovelace, the first computer programmer.
We also introduced them to some of our inspiring Industry Partners from PA Consulting King and Deloitte Digital, who shared their experiences as women getting into the tech industry. The High School students also met our dedicated Ada Ambassadors, who talked about their time at Ada and what exciting projects they are up to now (we are so very proud of all our Ada Alumni! #alwaysada). We loved the postcards the students wrote to women who have inspired them and their dedication when taking the Ada Codebreaker Challenge! We showed the students how Ada, the National College for Digital Skills, could help them become part of the next generation of digital talent and secure the best jobs in the tech industry.
Taking Ada to some of our local High Schools has been a wonderful and rewarding way to spend the week leading up to International Women's Day. Happy International Women's Day from Ada.
